To help us quickly and accurately process your abstract, please use this format
to submit your abstract. Your abstract will appear in the Carbonate Beaches 2000
Volume EXACTLY the way you submit it. There will be absolutely NO EDITING of the
abstract and it must be two pages or less.
The first item you should list is the title of your abstract. The title should be in
bold, upper case, and flush left with the margin. After the title, skip one line
and type the senior author's name first, followed by additional authors. Capitalize
the LAST NAME, FIRST NAME or INITIAL, and MIDDLE NAME or INITIAL of
each author. Underline the LAST NAME. Also include "JR.," "III," etc. After each
author's name, insert a comma and include the affiliation (employer) and the
address in upper and lower case, including city and state or country in which
each author is employed. Please provide an e-mail address for the senior author
only. If the speaker will be someone other than the senior author, put an
asterisk (*) after the speaker's/presenter's name. For multiple authors, insert
a semi-colon after the first author's address and start with the additional
author's name.
Skip another line and begin the body of your abstract. This abstract (for either
oral and poster presentation) is limited to two pages or less. Only the title should
be bold. Justify the text to both left and right 1" margins. Indent the first line of
each paragraph. Please use 12-point type, Helvetica or a similar sans-serif font is
preferred (e.g. Arial, Geneva). Leave no blank lines except at the end. Be certain to
proofread your abstract carefully, as no corrections will be made after you submit
your abstract. Illustrations are permitted. On the last line of your abstract, indicate
whether you prefer an oral or poster presentation.
