Predictive models of nearshore hydrodynamics, sediment transport, and beach
evolution perform poorly. This failure is largely due to the lack of field data to
constrain models and to provide generalizable parameterizations of important
procesess. This effort will provide data sufficiently complete to support model
development and verification and constrain parameterizations for broad model
application.
