St. Petersburg Field Activity ID Naming Conventions

The St. Petersburg Field Activity ID naming convention is as follows:

YYPRJ##, where YY is a 2 digit abbreviation for the calendar year the data was collected, PRJ is a 3 letter acronym for the project, task or theme the data was collected under, and ## is a sequential number for each field activity under that PRJ for that calendar year.

The Extreme Storm Impact project uses a unique naming convention defined as follow: HYYYYMMDDS where H stands for hurricane, YYYYMMDD is the year, month and day the flight took place and S represents the first letter of the storm the flight followed if appropriate.
