Artificially illuminated digital elevation model created from topography acquired by the NASA Airborne Topographic Mapper (ATM) in April 1998. The color shading reveals vertical change between April 1998 and an earlier NASA ATM survey in October 1997, prior to the landslide. The aerial video image captured from the same vantage point shows a large slumped block at the base of the cliff that matches the blue region of upward vertical change. Compared profiles oriented shore normal across the landslide show the detailed dimensions. Additional nearby landslides are also visible in the Landslides of Northern California panel.
