The USGS Science Center in St. Petersburg, Florida has held a series of Open House events over the past decade to showcase the science we do here at the Center. In recent years, the event has included one day for fourth grade students from schools throughout Tampa Bay and a second community day that is open to the public.
In 2011, the USGS Science Center partnered with other science and community organizations in St. Petersburg to plan and coordinate the inaugural St. Petersburg Science Festival, a local community event that brought our science-rich community together with children and adults to explore the world of science and discuss the important role that science has in our community and society.
Please check our website for news and updates about future outreach events. Thank you for your continued interest in the science that we do.
