This JPEG software provided on this CDROM is part of the Independent JPEG Group's
free JPEG software, release 1.  Some of the files have been changed/modified to 
accomodate SunRaster image file format compression/decompression by Bill Townsley, 
U.S.G.S.  St. Peterburg Science Center, July, 1994.  The code is intended to be 
used only on the grayscale JPEG/SunRaster images included on this CDROM.  The code 
will not work on any color JPEG/SunRaster images and there are no guarantees that 
the code will work on any SunRaster or JPEG images not included on this CDROM.

To decompress a JPEG file into SunRaster format, use the command
	djpeg -S filename.jpg > filename.ras
To compress a SunRaster file into JPEG format, use the command
	cjpeg filename.ras > filename.jpg
