These two images, taken in June of 1995 show Upham Beach prior to beach nourishment. The photos on the left are taken with the camera pointed north, and the photos on the right are looking south.

These images were taken soon after beach nourishment was completed in June 1995.

Finally, these photos, taken in April of 1997 show how quickly erosion can occur. Just a year after nourishment, there is very little beach towards the north, just south of the jetty. Also note that the area to the south, near the sea wall has accumulated additional sand since nourishment a year ago.
