"Barrier Island Elevations Relevant to Potential Storm Impacts: 2. South Atlantic" is a 3-page summary of the elevations along the U.S. South Atlantic Coast. Dune height has been found to be a factor determining the severity of the impacts of major storms and can be used to indicate the potential vulnerability to barrier islands from such storms.
